We Were There celebrates 40 years of partnership between BNP Paribas and French tennis by creating a one-of-a-kind web documentary on the last 40 French Open. From players to spectators, referees to ball boys, officials, doctors, celebrities, We Were There captures all the memories from who ever attended Roland-Garros, on the court, the stands, or in front of the TV, and gave the chance to the fans to write their own story of Roland-Garros 2013 and bring the tophy to the tournament winner. Hello! I’m Stephane Soussan, known to many as Souss, an Art Director with a deep passion for graphic design, visual storytelling, and craftsmanship.

With more than 20 years of experience in advertising agencies, I’ve designed and produced film, print, digital, and integrated campaigns for international brands. I’ve developed visual identities, shaped creative concepts, and collaborated closely with creative, production, and multidisciplinary teams to bring ideas to life—from the first idea to the final execution.


Since January 2026, I’ve also been the co-founder of Studio Nueve, a physical space in Paris built around football culture and its connections with design, photography, fashion, and contemporary culture. Studio Nueve brings together three complementary activities: a coffee shop; a curated retail and cultural space dedicated to football shirts, photography, books, and other objects; and a design studio working with brands on branding, creative direction, design, and marketing strategy.

Through Studio Nueve, I’m exploring football not only as a sport, but as a powerful cultural and creative territory. It’s a space where my different interests and areas of expertise come together—design, branding, culture, storytelling, strategy, and craftsmanship.
